Relevance

Evidence explained using Meta-Analysis investigations concerning positive environments yielded effect sizes from 0.55-0.69.

Evidence explained using other Meta-Analysis investigations concerning positive environments yielded statistically significant reductions in school discipline problems and academic achievement increased. Small to medium effect sizes were seen.

Evidence explained using other Meta-Analysis investigations concerning positive environments yielded effect sizes for modeling to 0.52 with 27 studies and 24,598 participants.

Brief Program Description

Come, receive and discuss investigations explaining the effects generated

in positive environments. Specifically what can teachers and those in

schools and other places where young people gather do so these positive

environments continue.

Summary

Meta-analyses explaining positive home and school environments have

yielded statistically significant reductions in discipline problems and

increased academic achievement with reported effect sizes from 0.55-

0.69. (Gardner et al., 2019; Gage & Lee, 2020). This presentation explains

what can be done by others in homes and schools to create positive

learning environments including where people are correct, productive, and

have a positive well-being.

Deciding and then telling others what we want them to do and how we want

them to do it can help others be correct. (Rosenshine, 2012, Blackburn &

Witzel,2018, Evans, et al., 2022). After this is told showing others what we

want them to do and how we want them to do it can increase the chances

they will do it correctly with fewer errors. Chaudhary and Singh,

(2020). Paying attention to others by telling them what was done well can

help a positive environment to continue. (Gardner et al., 2019; Gage &

Lee, 2020).
