Abstract
Dr. Gierhart launched the Journeys of Teaching audio podcast in January 2021. Season 1 featured 23 short episodes produced from interviews with seven educators from a variety of backgrounds and teaching areas (e.g., kindergarten, middle school administrator, Mayo Clinic nurse practitioner, university film media professor, etc.). The conversations focused on their narratives of pedagogy and how they perceived their development of teaching approaches across their careers and lives.
In this session, Dr. Gierhart will explore the idea of podcasting as a form of narrative inquiry in educational research, focusing specifically on narratives of pedagogy and teaching.
