Abstract
During the session, there will be a brief overview of Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK) and how one may utilize the DOK wheel to optimize learning. The session will then analyze the teacher’s and students’ roles at each DOK Level. Next the session will move into interpreting state standards to ensure that teachers provide students learning opportunities at the correct thinking level. Then participants will participate in an activity where they will read a state standard and then create an aligned activity.
