Abstract

This workshop will explore the significance of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their correlations with long-term health outcomes. The first segment presents current data illustrating this link, emphasizing the necessity for effective screening and referral systems. The second part examines models from states that have implemented ACE screening, analyzing their outcomes and referral processes. This session culminates in a deliberative dialogue, engaging participants in a discussion about the benefits and challenges of various ACE screening and referral strategies. This workshop aligns with the conference theme of "Lighting the Way to a Healthier Georgia" by highlighting innovative practices and fostering collaborative discussions aimed at strengthening public health responses to childhood adversity.
