Setting Students up for PBIS Success by Teaching Behavioral Expectations
Presentation Abstract
This presentation will outline a structure for explicitly teaching behavioral expectations as the school begins to implement PBIS. The presenters will provide examples of how their local school prepared students to implement PBIS and set students up for PBIS success. The presenters will also provide specific examples of how their local school involved staff, students and families in the teaching and practicing of behavior expectations. They will discuss the direct, positive impact seen as a result of explicitly outlining and teaching behavioral expectations. Attendees will be able to take away ideas to successfully implement PBIS behavioral expectations in their own local schools and communities.
