Short Description
Efficient and effective access to information means more than having the ability to reach technology; enfolded within the definition of access are a myriad of other issues such as finances, equipment, support, and knowledge. In addition, once access to information has been restricted or denied, a techno-knowledge gap opens between the haves and the have-nots, exponentially increasing as new applications and systems are introduced and accepted. This presentation will discuss the complicated social and economic aspects of changing access and its effects on former advocates of technology.
