Abstract

Organizations have always collected lots of data but most of it was discarded. Now they retain and apply analytics to the data in an effort to discover meaningful patterns that might help them improve performance. Much of this Big Data is collected from BYOD devices. This article explores the security and privacy issues raised when organizations collect Big Data from mobile devices that actually belong to their employees.
