Abstract

Georgia Southern University is home to the nationally-recognized Eagle Battalion. Our Cadets exemplify what it means to be Scholar-Athlete-Leaders. We are a four-time winner of the prestigious MacArthur Award and one of the nation's top producers of Army Nurses. Our Cadets are involved in Color Guard, Ranger Challenge, Cadet Association, intramural and varsity athletics, student government, and numerous community outreach events.

We awarded over $1.4million in scholarships and benefits over the last school year. Additionally, the Eagle Battalion has its own National Guard detachment.
