Abstract
“Inquiry” presents difficulties for instructors and librarians teaching first-year research and writing: students want to support an argument rather than develop the tolerance for uncertainty that inquiry requires. The presenters will demonstrate a three-day sequence designed to navigate these obstacles, shorten research time, and cultivate the dispositions necessary for inquiry.
