Abstract

The influence of digital media on young learners has changed how students adapt to reading, writing, speaking, and listening. Digital media provides an opportunity for increased engagement, allowing students to cultivate critical thinking, active reading, writing, and analysis skills. The focus is to analyze the effect of a digital platform, such as TikTok, on building writing comprehension among first-year college students. This study aims will address student movement from upper secondary education to tertiary education utilizing digital media to improve engagement and performance and produce college-level critical writers.
