Adam Efird is the Manager of Professional Development with Navigate360 and an experienced educator and school leader with over a decade of service in North Carolina’s public schools. Born and raised in rural NC, he has dedicated his career to supporting students, educators, and school communities. Adam holds degrees in Music Education, Professional School Counseling, and School Administration (M.S.A.). He has served as a teacher, Principal Designee, and District PBIS Trainer. Passionate about fostering positive school climates, Adam is a leader in implementing PBIS, SEL, Restorative Practices, Mental Health & Prevention, and Trauma-Informed approaches. In his current role, he supports schools nationwide in integrating tools like PBIS Rewards and Compass Curriculum to enhance outcomes and build resilient learning environments. A proud father and lifelong advocate for rural education, Adam remains committed to ensuring every student has the support to thrive.

Discover how digital hall pass systems enhance school safety through smarter student movement. This session highlights how schools can use technology and data integration to improve visibility, reduce risk, and strengthen prevention. Participants will review real implementation examples and learn to align hall pass systems with PBIS, MTSS, and safety plans for stronger student accountability and community collaboration.
Summary
As school environments evolve, so must the systems that support safety and accountability. This session demonstrates how digital hall pass tools can enhance prevention, visibility, and data-informed safety practices. Participants will learn how technology can be leveraged to monitor student movement, identify behavioral trends, and prevent high-risk situations such as hallway congestion, unauthorized gatherings, or extended absences from class.
Through field examples and discussion, participants will explore how hall pass analytics contribute to broader safety frameworks by integrating with PBIS and MTSS systems. Emphasis will be placed on stakeholder collaboration—students, staff, parents, and community members—who all play a role in maintaining safe, stable, and supportive learning environments.
Attendees will leave with practical strategies and templates for adopting sustainable digital systems that strengthen prevention and preparedness while promoting student accountability and equity.
