Dr. Lawrence has 19 years of experience serving public school districts in North Carolina. She has served as a special education teacher, Behavior Specialist, PBIS Coordinator, Exceptional Children's Services Coordinator, and Director of Exceptional Children Services. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Tennessee Technological University in 2003, a Master of Arts in Education with a concentration on behavioral disabilities from East Carolina University in 2014, and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Liberty University in 2018.

Brief Program Description
Bullying behavior is not a new issue. Despite the efforts of many school districts across the nation, the problem continues to plague our students and schools. School leaders need a school-wide strategic plan for bullying prevention. A Positive Behavior Intervention and Support framework can effectively meet the need of addressing bullying behavior in schools. Learn how to utilize five action planning steps to build a strategic plan for addressing bullying behavior.

The Strategic Planning to Address Bullying Behavior using the Positive Behavior Intervention & Support Framework session will demonstrate how a Positive Behavior Intervention and Support framework can effectively meet the need of addressing bullying behavior in schools. Participants will learn how to utilize five action-planning steps to build a strategic plan for addressing bullying behavior. Participants will leave with a drafted practical strategic plan that they can implement in their school or district setting.

This proposal was developed from an article published by the author entitled "Bullying in secondary schools: Action planning using a positive behavior intervention and support framework" which appeared in the Journal of American Secondary Education, (5(2), 85–92) which was a reach-based call for action article.
