Summary
In this session participants will learn how to incorporate student voice into their PBIS databased decision making process at the secondary level. This session will showcase how Vaughn Next Century Learning Center collected various forms of schoolwide data and used student voice to implement change. We will review how Vaughn Next Century Learning Center, a K-12 Charter School in Los Angeles County California, revamped their approach to PBIS implementation through improved data collection and analysis, using a student voice-centered approach. Participants will learn how to use various data sources like School Climate Surveys, MIR/ODR data, and focus groups to gather student perspectives, create action plans, and put the ownership of school climate in the hands of students
Evidence
Vaughn Next Century Learning Center collected various data sources such as the School Climate Survey, Tiered Fidelity Inventory, Behavioral Data (MIR/ODR), and student focus group surveys to drive change. The Tier I TFI was used to measure change for our evidence-based practices for Tier I PBIS.

Participants will be able to understand how Vaughn Next Century Learning Center utilized schoolwide data at the Secondary Level to drive change in Tier I implementation.

Participants will be able to understand how to incorporate behavioral data with student voice.
