Brief Program Description
This two-hour training is intended to help prepare agency professional staff to make critical decisions and take life saving actions without hesitation if they find themselves involved in an Active Shooter situation. This course included an 80 minute classroom portion and a 30 minute mini-scenario portion, where participants will get a chance to practice what they have learned in a safe environment. This course can be presented in any classroom and the mini-scenarios can be completed in any standard workspace. Instructors for this course should be chosen by the management and should include individuals with sufficient tactical training experience to answer questions and ensure that the training is carried out in a safe manner. Training materials consist of a PowerPoint to be shown to the participants as well as an Instructor Resource Video, which contains instructions on how to present the course and run the mini-scenarios.
