Abstract
My name is Mr. Patrick Wallace and I currently serve as the Program Specialist for World Languages and Global Workforce Initiatives with the Georgia Department of Education. I presented at the conference last year as well. I would like to share a state of the state of World Language Education in Georgia k-12. I will give an overview of the major programs underway in the state of Georgia with regards to world language education, including information on Georgia's new Seal of Biliteracy, the International Skills Diploma Seal Program, the Dual Language Immersion Initiative, the GaDOE World Language University/College Advisory Board and numerous other programs. I will also discuss the tie in between languages and the workforce in K-12 language education and the business community both domestic and international in Georgia.
