Thoughts and Impressions of an Open Access French Textbook, Liberté
Subject Area
Foreign Language Pedagogy
Abstract
As more colleges are encouraging faculty to adopt open access textbooks, recently I was fortunate enough to hear of an open access textbook for teaching elementary French. I will provide thoughtful insight and impressions on the open access French textbook, Liberté from the perspective of a instructor who has taught from the book for almost one year. I will the discuss what I like and dislike regarding the textbook. Just a few topics would be: the learning platform, the number of semesters it can be used, grammar illustrations, culture readings, and how received by students.
