Artistic Collage as Mythical Playground
Subject Area
Comparative Literature
Abstract
The artistic collages by Aube Breton Elléouët bring together her connections with Surrealism and inherited feminism (she is the daughter of André Breton and Jacqueline Lamba), and are informed by a love of nature, the sea, folklore and fantasy. This paper introduces three collections of her works, with analysis of themes and imagery that make them a rich inter-textual source that obviates the need for text.
Brief Bio Note
