Communicating with families about child development is not always easy, but it is so important to do! We know that knowledge of parenting and child development is one of the five protective factors that strengthen families. This is important now more than ever as many families are at home more with their children. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) has amazing tools and resources that can help families monitor their child’s development through the Learn the Signs. Act Early Program. We will discuss the resources available as well as strategies to start the conversation with families, and keep it going, and how to do that virtually!
