Storytelling with Toddlers

Full Session Description
This workshop is geared towards promoting language and literacy development through storytelling with toddlers. Reading to children allows teachers and parents to have a meaningful conversation through books. Early language and literacy skills are best learned through everyday moments such as reading, playing, and communicating with toddlers. Participants will learn how to enhance toddlers’ development in language and literacy. Young children learn language and literacy skills when talking to them, hearing stories, and exploring books. Participants will be given strategies to create an engaging learning experience with toddlers. This workshop will provide educators and families with the resources needed to improve and promote language and literacy development in toddlers through storytelling.
