Primary Presenter Brief Bio
Jaime Dice Moore, Ph.D. is the Affiliate Director of the Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children. As a former professor of early childhood development and education, she served on several state advisory boards in early childhood systems outside of Georgia and has conducted research in a variety of topics in early childhood development including professional development, development of self-regulation and attention skills in children, and social-emotional communication of infants and toddlers. She lives in Athens, Georgia and works with early childhood professionals throughout the state.

Full Session Description
The Affiliate Director of the Georgia Association for the Education of Young Children (GAEYC) provides an overview of professional development organizations in Georgia. The number of agencies that early childhood professionals in Georgia work with can feel overwhelming. In this session, we will discuss a brief history of the early childhood profession in Georgia, learn about the role of the Department of Early Care and Learning, including Bright from the Start, Quality Rated, and Child Care Resource and Referral, and become familiar with the programs that support early childhood professionals and the children and families they support through interactive games and discussion.
