APD Best Practices Training Initiative at Georgia State University
Jennifer began in early childhood education twenty years ago in a Georgia’s PreK classroom before serving briefly as the director of a PreK center. The bulk of her experience was as an Education Specialist with a large, private provider that served children birth through five. In that role, she worked directly with teachers and administrators on quality improvement and provided direct training and technical assistance to teachers at the classroom and program level.

Renee Gudermuth was drawn to BP by its commitment to ensure teachers receive proper preparation to create classrooms that encourage and engage children with powerful interactions in positive environments. With a degree in Early Childhood Education from Georgia Southern University, Renee has been in the early childhood field for 16 years, holding multiple positions including teacher, center director, curriculum developer, and trainer. Additionally, she has focused on helping programs improve quality through accreditation. This fall, Renee will be one of the facilitators you may see at a returning teacher training focused on learning centers.

The activities available are designed for children ranging in age from birth to five years old and are directly linked to the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).
