Have you ever sat down to have a conversation with someone and really listened to that person telling you a story or experience? The skills of active listening, understanding another person’s experience, and connecting with others are important in leadership. Attendees will learn the difference between listening and hearing and also increase their awareness of the relationship between listening skills and inclusivity.

As a result of attending this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Articulate the difference between listening and hearing

  • Identify 3 attributes of active listeners

  • Increase awareness of the relationship between active listening skills and inclusivity
