Background
This project was a sub-project within development of a hybrid electrical vehicle platform. There are four sub-groups working on the hybrid test engine which include an electrical team, throttle team, manufacturing team, and our team working on the chain tensioner. This Hybrid platform is an ongoing project and we have inherited the responsibility to improve its efficiency and modify its design accordingly. Most of the equipment was in place such as the Briggs and Stratton engine, dynamometer, ECU, and electrical motor. Several faults needed to be corrected including an oil leak, loose chain, bent sprocket, and battery voltage regulation and storage.
