Summary
In order for teachers to be capable of providing a high-quality education in STEM coursework, they will need to tap into students’ learning and application of knowledge through the vernacular, vocabulary and culture of the students. The pedagogy of teachers will need to evolve and become an integrated component of the curriculum connected to real-world scenarios. A reformatted structure in education will help to diversify the field of STEM.
