Abstract

Co-teaching can be scary, we know that firsthand. But with a little collaboration, consideration, calculation, confidence, and commitment, co-teaching can be an invaluable experience. In this session, you will hear from two practitioners thriving in a co-taught setting, and engage in hands-on activities to springboard you into creating your own successful co-taught classroom.

Conference Strands

Co-Teaching

Description

Our presentation relates to the conference strand because it empowers educators to embrace co-teaching. In my firsthand experience, co-teaching can be a scary thing for both parties involved and it can be really difficult to get it right if you're not working with something willing. Our session will help empower educators to become more confident in co-teaching as we share strategies that helped us to become successful coteachers for participants to add to their teacher toolboxes.
