A Discussion on Health Communications and the Importance of Brand Consistency
Abstract
The Fulton County Board of Health strives to make a positive and lasting impact on the communities we serve. One of the most important ways to do that is by making sure our brand is visible and recognizable. Our organization’s image, specifically our recently rebranded logo, is critical to the success of any of our campaigns and any information that we release to the public. The ways we communicate with the public include social media, email blasts, outreach events, and press releases.
The Communications Department’s main goal is to enforce the organization’s imprint within the community by bringing awareness to the services we offer through clear, concise and consistent communication methods. We serve more than one million residents across 8 clinics in the state’s most populous county.
Since we serve such a large constituency, we would also like to discuss ways we have managed successful outreach campaigns with other districts and counties to help them implement similar strategies. We feel this would be an effective way to discuss strategies undertaken not only by FCBOH, but also by our colleagues around the state. This exchange of ideas can pinpoint ways districts have used marketing to build their clientele and reach those in most need of our services.
The tagline “We Are Here To Serve You” is not just a slogan for the marketing of our services to the community, but it is a huge part of every action we take on their behalf.
