Abstract

The Hispanic Dental Association and CareQuest Institute for Oral Health identified a lack of relevant data from multi-sectoral stakeholders in mind for their use in promoting interventions to reduce inequities at state level. In this context, both organizations worked to design and develop the 2024 State Latino Community Profiles, including normative and social determinants of health data and other public health issues affecting the life course of the Latino communities in each U.S. state. This innovative resource will allow policy makers and advocacy leaders to get all-inclusive information influencing health policy decisions at state level in one source, comparing data between GA and other southern states beyond oral health facts, and connecting oral health status of our minority communities with overall health outcomes.
