The Promoting Women’s Health and Healthy Births and WIC Matters Cohorts work with nine Georgia Family Connection county collaboratives and state partners to expand and enhance community-based work to improve women’s health and reduce the rate of low birthweight births and maternal mortality. These counties implement local strategies to improve women’s health and reduce LBW, infant mortality and maternal mortality by addressing socioenvironmental factors of health. This session will include an overview of the cohorts and presentations by a rural and metro county who are implementing women’s health focused strategies in their communities.
