Data, Leadership, Action!
Presentation Abstract
Give students the data (and a little guidance) and they will improve your school climate! Georgia’s School Health Survey Data allows readers to see a “slice” of the students’ view inside their school. East Jackson High School Student Leadership Team used this data to identify areas of greatest need related to school culture, school climate, and student satisfaction. The data-driven plan-of-action included activities and efforts that improved student-student and teacher-student relationships, encouraged student participation in school events and activities, increased positivity, and promoted school and community events.
