Building Buy-In: Involving Community, Staff, and Students in Success.
Presentation Abstract
In this presentation, guest will get insight on how to either get community, staff, and student buy-in to make their PBIS efforts flourish or gain some ideas to get their initiatives started. I will share Callaway Elementary's journey from Installing to Distinguished, with me as the coach, and how I was able to rally all stakeholders to push a positive environment. I will also share research in providing staff with incentives, community with a piece of mind, and students with a fun and enriching environment to learn and grow. I will share insight on how PBIS in the school can be used in the home in order for it to "make sense" for students. With all this in mind, community and parent buy-in will take off. This presentation will be geared toward Elementary PBIS Coaches but can be useful information for all.
