SOARING THROUGH A BALANCED APPROACH
Presentation Abstract
Are you on a mission to connect school, home and community through Positive Behavior Support (PBIS)? Would you like to learn how to divide and conquer in order to build a stronger school climate that embraces PBIS? Come SOAR with us as we share our journey on how to embrace and implement PBIS through a balanced approach where we advocate shared responsibilities by having two PBIS team coaches. We would love to show you how we increase our school’s sense of safety and school climate as well as maintain a school-wide behavioral support system that builds an environment where teachers can teach and students can learn. Come rise with us as we reveal how Hilltop Elementary School's two PBIS team coaches lead and manage areas such as PBIS KICK-OFF, effective discipline, expectations and rules, acknowledgement system, action plan, SWIS data, social media and PBIS student leadership.
