PBIS Rewind: Starting Over
Presentation Abstract
It is a new school year. Not just any year, but a year that begins with a soft PBIS rollout. A coach is named, staff is in place, and matrices are being written. At the end of the year, after all of the training, all of the writing and plans are in place for a full and complete roll out, a shift in personnel occurs. You are now left with just the Coach, Team Leader, and Recorder, who are the only members of the original PBIS team that remain. You are now forced to rewind and start over. But how? Is it possible to regroup and successfully relaunch within days? Yes. It can be done. Our PBIS team was in this exact situation and we were resilient. Stragies learned in our presentation will give parents knowledge of how to "start over" with their students if an educational and/or behavior interruption were to occur.
