Brief Biography

Daphne Winkler is an Assistant Principal at Bagley Middle School. She began her teaching career 15 years ago. She is currently working on a doctorate from Kennesaw State in the area of Educational Leadership. Mrs. Winkler was on the PBIS team when it was implemented nine years ago at Bagley. She now serves as the PBIS chair.

Kellye Flood is a Physical Education Teacher at Bagley Middle School. She began her teaching career 16 years ago. Coach Flood has served on the PBIS committee for the last three years and has worked to help sustain a positive school climate at the middle school setting.

Presentation Abstract

Bagley Middle School Assistant Principal, Daphne Winkler, and Teacher, Kellye Flood, will present on effective strategies for sustaining a positive school climate at the middle school level. The presentation will focus on school climate through the eyes of students, teachers, parents and administrators. The presenters will discuss the importance of all stakeholders when it comes to creating and sustaining a positive school climate. Attendees will walk away with key ideas and strategies proven to be effective in sustaining a positive school climate. The content of this presentation could be used by parents to help students set goals and work toward receiving the rewards during the school year.
