Presentation Abstract
PBIS-related concepts. In the PBIS program described in this presentation, students keep a running balance of daily star bucks using a ledger. Students learn to make and understand charts using data from weekly star bucks accumulated. Reading skills are taught through reading the school pledge and the PBIS matrix. Student relate to PBIS by sharing personal examples in writing. Students learn the PBIS vocabulary and use the vocabulary in their writing. Therapeutic stories are used as another tool to increase understanding of PBIS expectations. Participants will learn specific examples of how PBIS is integrated across the curriculum.
