We created a new Introduction to Library Research class with engineering students as the focus. We wanted to introduce Information Literacy into the class to help them in thir engineering classes
Proposal
ULIB101 at WVU (Introduction to Library Research) is a class that all students at WVU can take. A chance conversation with someone in the Statler College of Engineering prompted us to create a ULIB101 class (ULIB101-ENGR) that was aimed solely towards students in the engineering schools. The collaboration brought together the WVU libraries and the Statler College. Between us we decided what should be in the class and what should be emphasized in it as well. The all online class will be taught for the second time in spring of 2022.
Presentation Description
A chance conversation lead to the creation of a new Introduction to LibraryResearch class aimed solely at undergraduate engineering students. We encountered some setbacks and changes but ultimately the class has been a success.
