Description

This service learning project worked with a local charity thrift store Worn Threads to solve a promotional problem they were facing. The purpose of this project was to present the store with a solution and implementation plan they could use to increase awareness, develop a network of volunteers and shoppers, and lead them to increase their profits and benefit the community through their valuable services. To complete this project we first met our client to discuss their business operations and promotional problem. Then, we conducted research and developed an implementation plan. As a final step in the project, we presented our proposed solution to the managing volunteer of the store and provided him with clear direction on how the store’s volunteers could carry out our suggested plan. As an extra step, members of our group will be volunteering to help the store put into place the promotional plan that we developed.
