Description

The mark of any great writer is being able to connect with their intended audience. The best way to do that is to share stories that people can relate to. These could be connected to real life events. In my time at Georgia Southern University, I have honed the skills necessary to turn my memories of people, places and things that I love into stories and poems that will move others, that they may see and feel just as I do. These pieces hold a special place in my heart, as they both speak of the home of my childhood and the woman who raised me, and how these memories have shaped the woman I have become and the writer I want to be.
