The Implementation of a Literacy Achievement Program" (Carnegie Kids Club--Literacy)
Abstract
The purpose of this presentation is discuss the Carnegie Kids Club (CKC), which is a part of the Literacy Achievement Program with The Carnegie Writers, Inc. CKC is a community-based program designed to assist children with improvement in literacy skills with reading, writing, and creativity. Children are recruited from schools and the community. Club sessions take place virtually, in the community and at schools. The presentation will also discuss the club process, rules, and curriculum.
