Abstract

This presentation details a series of assignments presented to multilingual students in a FYW course. The scaffolded series of assignments promotes an understanding of writing as translation, an approach that potentially allows students to engage in writing as a translingual practice while deepening their rhetorical flexibility. Attendees will gain tips on how theories of translation can be integrated into the FYW class.
