Presentation Abstract

Schools are always looking for engaging new ways to teach PBIS lessons. Meaningful lessons that get students involved are not always easy to create and online resources are difficult to tailor to fit an individual school's needs.

This presentation allows teachers to examine the critical components that make PBIS lessons effective. Through this discussion, teachers will evaluate different templates that make the development of strong PBIS lessons less daunting.

Most importantly, attendees will have a chance to work collaboratively with teachers from other buildings and create an interactive lesson that teaches one behavior expectation from their school's matrix. By sharing ideas with PBIS team members from around the state, teachers will be able to take back ideas to share and implement within their future lessons. Each teacher should leave this presentation with a lesson that could be implemented in their school.
