Presentation Description
Identify existing skill sets in learners; assess learners’ information and technological literacy development in a sixteen week semester; and postulate effective means of developing and furthering skill levels through a pre-composition course that stresses multiple literacies: Easy, right? By defining, examining, and assessing the Basic Writing Program at University of Southern Indiana, the Coordinator and Basic Writing Task Force members demystify Basic Writing Instruction pedagogical best-practices in the face of pre-college-level college students’ information literacy preparedness (or potential).
