Abstract
Educating Urban Youth using blended learning, differentiation, credit flexibility and career pathways all while working through building positive relationships, navigating through homelessness, gang affiliation, incarceration, pregnancy, and many other barriers. The Academy for Urban Scholars uses a unique approach to ensure all students are receiving individualized instruction and the tools to master standards and state requirements to earn their high school diploma
Presentation Description
The Forgotten Graduate will reach those who work in diverse settings with students coming from low socioeconomic status, homelessness, teen pregnancy, gang affiliation, all while trying to obtain a high school diploma.
